It's All About Eclipse!

I’m hoping by NOW that all of you have seen Eclipse because
this post is full of spoilers. If you haven’t, then don’t continue reading.
Simple as that.

I decided to go the same route as I did for New Moon and see the movie
three times before I posting my thoughts about it. Which was smart since
I really caught a lot more the second and third time around.

My day started out with Rob’s Girl and I once again arriving HOURS before
the movie was even suppose to start. Except this time around, we decided
to watch the Trilogy and not just the one movie. It was fun, and luckily we
were seated in the theater quickly. Unlike last time when we were
stuck out in the hall for 6 hours.

So in normal Twi-related fashion, we found ways to entertain ourselves
during our wait. Playing cards, eating chocolate, and playing with P.E.’s.
The P.E.'s were quite embarrassed by our behavior.
Anyhoo, let’s all get onto the real reason why I’m writing up this post:
David Slade, may I call you master instead?

Eclipse is absolutely by far my favorite out of the three. Of course it was a
little slow at times, but nowhere near as slow as New Moon was.
All the actors and actresses, I believe, performed much better
than they did in the previous movies.

So there's a few things I wanted to talk about.

1. Bella.
I seriously HATED that wig.
It’s no secret that I thought KStew being cast as Bella for Twilight
was the wrong decision. Then I came around a little for New Moon and
gave the girl props for her acting skills being much better than in the
previous movie.  I mean, the girl gave me chills when she was
screaming in her bed after Edward left.

So how do I feel after seeing Eclipse?
*stands up and claps*
Bravo, Stew.
I applaud you for continuing to prove me wrong.
And thank you for not annoying me this time around with that
rapid blinking and the awful stuttering you did in Twilight.
Good job, girl.

Truth be told, I never saw a true love connection between
Edward and Bella, all I saw was a spark. That is, until I saw Eclipse.
I think the reason behind it all is because KStew finally dumped
what’s-his-name and opened her eyes and realized what we’ve all known,
that HIS HOLY HOTNESS was right there in front of her.
It’s obvious the two have something going on together behind the scenes,
which I believe helped fuel their on-screen romance.
Smart girl K, smart girl.

2. Edward.
Blue V-neck shirt = dead marie.

When I posted my thoughts on New Moon, I wasn’t very happy with
Rob’s acting.  I really felt that he could have put a little more into the role.
But I can honestly say that I am way more than pleased with him in Eclipse.
His emotions were much more evident this time, whether if he was happy,
upset, or angry (*loves angry Robward*) you could
clearly tell the difference between the three.

Also, I can’t talk about Robward without mentioning how good he looked
in this movie compared to the other two.
I heart you, Rob. Honest.

3. Jacob
No touchy the Bella, pup.

Once again, Tay tay acted much better in Eclipse.
Especially the scenes where he’s suppose to be angry.
Maybe that’s because in New Moon his post-puberty voice didn’t
sound as threatening when he said “bloodsuckers”. I giggled when he
tried to sound mean. Calm down, little man-boy.

I’m assuming by the sound of it, his voice is beginning to take on a
manlier tone, which makes his threats sound much more believable.
Hopefully by they time Breaking Dawn begins filming he’ll be out
of that post-puberty phase.
*keeps fingers crossed*
It’s just a little weird to me.

Enough about the dog, we're moving on.

4. The Cullens.
I was too lazy to find a picture that included Carlisle and Esme.  Lameness.

I was pleased to see the Cullens have more screen time, especially
the moments when Edward wasn’t around. It shows that they are, in fact,
a vampire family and that they are all living their own lives outside
of Edward and Bella’s story.

Plus, I couldn’t get enough of the love between Jasper and Alice.
It was sweet and seemed like their love came naturally to them.
Completely adorable.

 5. Riley and the newborns.
Did anyone else find Riley to be a hot vamp?
First of all, I absolutely LOVED how the movie started out
with Victoria attacking and ultimately turning Riley into a vampire.
It showed Eclipse as starting out with a BANG, with a promise
of some serious action at some point during the rest of the movie.

And what of the newborns?
That was some craziness all in itself.
They had no self-restraint, or control.
Nor did they allow Riley to have much control over them.
Crazy and uncontrollable, terrorizing newborns.

NOW, here’s a few things I did not like:

1. The color difference in Rosalie’s hair and eyebrows.
Come on people, she’s suppose to be a natural blond,
not a brunette with a horrible dye job.
The close-ups of her eyebrows scared me.... a lot.

2. The shirtless pack.
Yes I admit to staring at Tay tay’s abs at one point or another,
but seeing all of them shirtless all the time gets annoying.
Just my opinion.
There's an idea!  Keep the robes on that you wear between shooting scenes.

3. Riley’s “You’re dead” line at the end of the movie.
That was a bit on the corny side.
You're kinda hot and I felt bad for you when Vicky kicked your ass, so all maybe forgiven.

4. When Bella asks Jacob to kiss her.
I know it HAD to happen, but that
doesn’t mean I have to like it.
*whispers*
Although, Bella saying “Jacob, stay” was
pretty damn hilarious.
Goooooood, doggy!

I know there are other things I like and disliked.
*taps chin*
Hmmm...
Oh well.

Why don’t YOU tell me what you thought of Eclipse?
Tell me what you liked or disliked about it in your comment, pretty pleazers?
*smiles and bats eyelashes*

And look for Leigh’s post on Eclipse soon.
Sorry Leigh, I didn’t mean to make you wait so long before
you can post yours. Blame it on my lovely procrastination skills.

And on one final note, I have to add one last picture that
makes my Edward lovin' heart super-dee-duper happy.
Take if off.  Take is aaaalllll off! *giggles*

*Bez the comment fairy sprinkling LOTS of love around the post*

Seriously, I love your review and I'm sorry its taken me so damn long to comment!!

firstly, I agree 100% with all your loves. They were big wins in my opinion too!

However, i can't believe you left off Bella's ugly ass ring in your WTF section! It was right up there with Rosalie's eyebrows and Jasper's poodle head. I pictured the ring to be so beautiful, and I was totally disappointed.

Then again, Edward could propose and put a Cheezel on my finger and I'd still say yes.

A big round of applause for your procrastination skills, they come close to my own.

Love your face.

Leigh
